The lack of heat, water, and power in some Monsey homes results from families struggling to afford utility bills. This is where the Keren Ohr Yaakov Fund, established in memory of Rav Yaakov Akiva Mashinsky z”l, makes a life-changing difference.
The fund has provided emergency aid in addition to monthly stipends. The team behind this initiative is highly proactive and addresses late utility bills directly with the energy companies before they escalate. This way, power outages, gas cuts, and water restrictions can be prevented as much as possible. Our assistance is also available during times of extreme financial need, such as home foreclosures.
